I, along with my husband, reached Lake Atitlán from India, flying into La Aurora International Airport (GUA) in Guatemala City via Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi.

There is an autobus that operates from Guatemala City to Panajachel, which is on the shore of Lake Atitlán. It covers a distance of 105 km, and takes around ₹ 363 to ₹ 454 ($4 to $5 USD) for a 3-6 hour ride.
If you prefer travelling at your own time and comfort, taking your own car for a ride is the best course of action. It may take around 3-4 hours, depending on the intensity of traffic, covering a distance of around 115 km.
A private taxi from Guatemala City to Lake Atitlán typically costs between ₹ 9096 and ₹ 14,560 ($100 to $160) for a 2.5 to 3.5-hour, one-way journey.
