1. Universal Studios, Orlando

   

   Universal Studios proves that it has been able to maintain a big name for a reason. The staff at the park knew how to manage the crowd, and the overall wait time for each ride wasn’t as long as I had expected it to be. 

   To talk a little about the experience, I enjoyed the Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure the most, while the kids loved the classic Jurassic World Velocicoaster. 

   There’s a lot to explore in the park, and we had non-stop fun going on one adrenaline-inducing ride after another. We also ate and shopped for a few things before leaving. It was a day well spent!

   Disney World is huge, and I really mean ginormous! It could be a whole town in itself with the number of attractions it has. We hopped, skipped, and sprinted through the theme parks just to cover the entire thing, and it was amazing. 

   At Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park, we participated in the Wilderness Explorers quest and earned numerous badges. The life-sized Finding Nemo Puppet Show made it one of the most fun things to do in Orlando with kids!

The people at the Wallaby Ranch know how to make any experience possible. Orlando is a plain terrain with no elevated hills, yet the hang gliding experience here is so safe, both my kids went twice! 

After we were done, I realized how drastically activities like this one can increase kids’ confidence and make them open to new experiences. Trust me, you would go twice yourself if you witnessed the view we did!

It is still beyond me how Gatorland isn’t hyped more. They’ve got alligators, capybaras, snakes, wild cats, and an array of animals that visitors are allowed to interact with. Ziplining is another experience that had our hearts racing right before letting go of the starting point, which is designed with extreme care to be safe for the kids.

4. Experience the ICON Park

Well, ICON Park is indeed quite iconic, to say the least. The experiences here were so vast, we had to take a good look with our jaws on the floor! My little one, being a Gen Alpha kid, did geek out over the “In The Game” arcade gaming plaza. 

Each spot we visited exceeded our expectations, so eventually we did check out all of them. The 7-D theater was quite an interactive zone for the kids, but my personal favorite was Slingshot, a ride I never got off mentally!  If we had to vote on one of the best things to do in Orlando Florida, my money would be on the Slingshot for sure.

Orlando Science Center is intriguing in the way that it lives up to the name of a science center, instead of just a museum. While going in, I hadn’t expected the experience to be as interactive as it was. 

This was such a sneak-in learning session, which really did engage kids and even addressed all their curiosities. From all I gathered from my kids’ reaction, they enjoyed the ‘Life’ exhibit the most. Check out the DC Superheroes exhibit to give the mind a little break between learning sessions.

Remember how I mentioned voting for the most fun things to do in Orlando? Well, if my girls had to vote on that, their money would be on indoor skydiving at iFLY. 7. Surprise Yourself at WonderWorks

After traveling to so many places, I have yet to come across a place like WonderWorks. It does right by its name, that is for sure. Wonder Art Gallery is the sanest out of all the zones, but we were there for the experiences that gave us the funzies in the stomach.

Various zones, like the Imagination Lab, Physical Challenge Zone, Extreme Weather Zone, and Space Discovery Zone, were very exhilarating. Indoor Ropes Course is the spot where people like to have their own Squid Games moment, and a fun Laser Tag Arena game is never a bad idea!

Lake Eola Park is nestled in the heart of Downtown Orlando, and spending some time here is one of the most calming day out ideas. There are swan boats that you can book and take a ride across the lake.

Orlando Outlet Marketplace has the stores of some of the most premium global brands. Find the store-only products that we miss online, and unlock the special store purchase offers and discounts!

Shopping in the central market of the city is one of the most fun things to do in Orlando for adults. There are plenty of items, across various categories to shop from. I even spotted some cute pet accessory shops, which I had a hard time choosing from, since they were all so cute!

Lost Caverns mini golf stood apart from all the activities I had tried in Orlando before. Those were purely thrilling adventures, whereas playing golf requires patience, form, and technique. 

This did some good grounding, with a day spent getting competitive with each other. There were many moments, including candy deals followed by “if I make this shot…”. We even bought a bag of gator chips to feed our reptilian friends inside.

The Winter Park Canal Cruise was a full-view slideshow of Orlando wilderness, and one I would recommend everybody go to at least once. This canal tour took us through 3 lakes and narrow man-made canals on the Winter Park chain. It was an hour-long tour, wherein we enjoyed some quiet time watching the cranes swooping over the water surface in search of prey. 

Alligator sightings were sort of the highlight of the entire trip to Orlando. People enthusiastic about photography must not miss these sights, as there are a few perfect clicks that await you here, which aren’t any less than the cruise in Amsterdam!

Experiences: Cruising through lakes, soaking in the views, alligator sighting, watching cranes catch prey, and observing the mesmerizing Florida wilderness.

With adventures such as a hot air balloon ride, it is important to keep safety as a priority. Airhound Adventures was my first choice, due to the excellent reviews about their expert, experienced pilots, so that all my family had to do was sit back and soak in the views.

The city view was absolutely sublime, so much so that it threw me into a moment of epiphany, leading to the realization that this is the point of life! Also, since hot air balloon rides are so romantic, they are one of the perfect things to do in Orlando for adults and couples.

Chocolate making at the Chocolate Kingdom was an experience that gave me “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” flashbacks. This was a moment to savor, because how often do we, as adults, really get a chance to be messy?

Most importantly, it was fun to be a complete beginner at something after such a long time. It is a tiny bit expensive, although totally worth the money! The family chocolate-making experience, held on Sundays at 4 pm, is one of the best things to do in Orlando this weekend.

What sets the airboat ride apart from traditional paddleboarding is the shape of the boat itself. It is almost like taking a bigger speedboat ride, with water splashing all over. 

There is a half-hour and an hour-long ride to choose from in terms of duration. You can also pick between the Sunset Tour and the Night Tour, both of which are equally good. The Night Tour, however, is one of the best things to do in Orlando for adults, as the whole experience is wrapped up with a BBQ by the lake!

Crayola really won my heart with the number of unique activities they had to offer. My girls absolutely loved all the workshops and made a few friends along the way. If I had to describe the experience in one word, it would be ‘experimenting.’

They’ve caught on to the way to play with the texture of the crayons as taught by Crayola, and now I find them trying out the same techniques for school projects. This is an interactive way to spend play time with children, and thus, one of the most fun things to do in Orlando with kids.

3. Tibet Butler Preserve

Featuring the superfruit of the South—Muscadine Grapes—they explained how it contributes to the flavor. 

By the time the tour ended, somehow, the taste of the wine was elevated, since I could identify the flavors better. To top off the experience with a cherry, they’re generous with the wine samples provided at the end, which makes this one of the best free things to do in Orlando for adults!
