How can the entire South India be this beautiful? That’s the question I’ve been asking myself since I returned from my getaway to some of the best places to visit in South India.
Not just Indians, but I think visiting South India should be on the bucket list of literally everyone. I just can’t stop reminiscing, even after almost two months of returning from a complete tour of South India, covering every single place and city.

South India is literally the whole package, as you will find some of the best beaches, hill stations, authentic food, and the kindest people here. The peninsular region delights people of all ages and interests with its diverse landscapes and has a great historical significance, too.
I’ve had some of the tastiest foods and met some of the nicest people here. Trust me, the taste of authentic dosa, idli, chicken fry, and uttapam is still in my mouth.
And the best part was, even after facing the issue of a language barrier, people were keen to help us and repeated themselves multiple times to ensure we understood.

1. Ooty, Tamil Nadu

Ooty, Queen of the Nilgiris, is one of the most beautiful hill stations I’ve ever been to, and in my opinion, it is the best place to visit in April in South India, with temperatures ranging from 20 to 25 degrees Celsius. Also, don’t miss out the Ooty lake, Nilgiri mountain, Ooty rose gardens, and toy train ride at any cost.

My experience here was wholesome, from trekking to Mullyangiri, the highest peak in Karnataka, to spotting animals at Kudremukh National Park and seeking blessings of Lord Shiva at Hoysaleswara temple, I enjoyed every bit of the place.

I was truly lost in the divinity and sacredness of this place, and would strongly suggest it to everyone.
